Realistic Recovery Timeline

Most patients can travel home approximately seven to ten days after surgery, though your surgeon needs to confirm you are fit to fly, since long-haul flights carry their own circulation-related considerations after any surgery. Swelling and initial shape settle gradually, typically over three to six months, with the final result often not fully visible until then — be wary of any clinic implying you will see the "final" result immediately at discharge.

What a Package Price Typically Includes (and Doesn't)

A typical all-inclusive package covers surgeon and hospital fees, the implants themselves, airport transfer, hotel accommodation for the recovery period, and sometimes a compression garment. It generally does not include your international flights, extended stays beyond the standard package length if complications arise, or revision surgery beyond the clinic's stated warranty period — get each of these confirmed in writing before paying a deposit, not verbally during a sales call.

Cost Comparison: Turkey vs. Western Europe

Package prices in Turkey are generally lower than comparable private surgery in the UK, Germany or France, though the exact gap depends heavily on implant brand, surgeon seniority and hospital tier — a genuinely low quote from an unaccredited clinic is a red flag rather than a bargain. Compare itemised quotes from at least two or three accredited clinics rather than the first search result, and be sceptical of prices that seem far below the market range for a JCI-accredited hospital.

Vetting a Clinic Before You Book

Ask specifically: is the hospital accredited (JCI or equivalent), does the operating surgeon hold plastic surgery board certification, what does the revision policy cover and for how long, and who handles complications after you return home. See our post-treatment care guide for what proper aftercare should look like, and our hospital selection guide for accreditation basics.
